New Delhi: The two suicide notes recovered from the house of former flight attendant Geetika Sharma here were written on the day she hung herself earlier this month, police said Thursday.

The suicide notes said that Geetika had committed suicide due to harassment caused by former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, her employer.

Geetika, 23, earlier worked in Kanda’s now-defunct MDLR Airlines, died on the night of 4-5 August at her house in Delhi’s Ashok Vihar area.

The suicide notes named Kanda and his employee Aruna Chaddha. Both have denied the allegations. Kanda is in police custody and Chaddha is in judicial custody.

After Kanda’s airlines ceased to function in 2009, Geetika was given a job in another company owned by him.

According to Geetika’s brother, his sister was being constantly mentally harassed by Kanda and Chaddha. Kanda resigned from the Haryana ministry after Geetika’s suicide.

Charges of criminal intimidation and abetment to suicide were slapped on Kanda and Chaddha over the suicide.
