Geetika Sharma case: Mother's suicide note names Kanda too

The mother of Geetika Sharma, whose suicide landed former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda in jail, also committed suicide today.

Geetika Sharma case: Mother's suicide note names Kanda too

In a shocking turn of events, the mother of Geetika Sharma, the airhostess who had committed suicide claiming to be harassed by former Haryana Minister and MDLR group chief Gopal Kanda, has also killed herself. Anuradha Sharma, the mother of Geetika Sharma, was found dead at their residence, CNN-IBN reported. The channel further reported that a suicide note mentioning Gopal Kanda and his aide Aruna Chadha has been recovered from her residence. Times Now reported meanwhile, that Anuradha had been found hanging in her room by her family. Image courtesy: Geetika Sharma’s family.[/caption] Geetika, a former airhostess with Kanda’s MDLR airlines, had committed suicide on 5 August, 2012 and in her suicide note had alleged harassment by the minister. In an interview with _Firstpost_ after her daughter’s suicide, Anuradha had described how Kanda had harassed her daughter. The family of the former airhostess has alleged pressure by the former Haryana minister, who has since been arrested in connection with Geetika’s suicide and is still in judicial custody.
