While security forces were cordoning off a forested patch in Kistaram region, a group of armed rebels opened indiscriminate fire, leaving two STF and three DRG jawans injured, the IG said. “However, ultras fled from the spot when jawans launched a fierce retaliatory action,” he added. Reinforcement was rushed to the spot and efforts are on to retrieve the injured personnel from dense forest, he added. PTI
