First pictures of Vande Bharat sleeper coaches out; Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw calls it 'Concept train'

The new Vande Bharat sleeper coaches are all set to be rolled out in 2024. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared images of ‘Concept train - Vande Bharat (sleeper version)’ on X formerly Twitter.

Features of the new Vande Bharat  The ‘Concept Train’ is designed to provide a faster and enhanced travelling experience to passengers. The sleeper coaches will be equipped with features like wider berths, brighter interiors, spacious toilets and a mini pantry. Each Vande Bharat sleeper train will achieve a speed of 160 km per hour. The trains will have 16 bogies and will carry approximately 887 passengers. The Indian Railways has planned to introduce 400 Vande Bharat trains (Sleeper version) of three different technologies. The indigeneous semi light speed train has been seen as a symbol of  a progressive and self-reliant India. Speed, Safety and Service are believed to be the hallmarks of this train. Equipped with world-class features, the Vande Bharat Express promises a comfortable journey to passengers.
