Ara (Bhojpur): A major fire broke out and a number of LPG cylinders exploded today at the venue of Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh alias Mukhiya’s ‘shraddh’ at Khopira village in Bihar’s Bhojpur district. The fire broke out in a ‘pandal’ during preparation of food for the ‘shraddh’ of the slain Ranvir Sena chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) GM Kumar said. PTI”] [/caption]Dozens of LPG cylinders burst one after another due to the heat caused by the fire, he said. Several fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the flames, Kumar said. There was no no report of any casualty or injury to any person, the DSP said. A huge pandal had been erected in the village for the shraddh ritual of the departed Sena leader and elaborate arrangements were underway to prepare a variety of food items for the guests on the final ritual to be held tomorrow. The Ranvir Sena chief was gunned down in Katira locality of the district district on 1 June. PTI
