Around 100 shanties were gutted in a fire in a slum cluster in the capital on Friday morning.

Fire at Delhi slum, no casualties reported

New Delhi: A fire broke out in a scrap godown and adjoining slum behind a government hospital in central Delhi this morning, fire brigade officials said. The fire broke out in the slum cluster, off the Mata Sundari Road near the ITO in New Delhi area. [caption id=“attachment_353624” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“PTI”] [/caption] The incident was reported from behind G B Pant Hospital at around 9:30 am and 25 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Several hutments were destroyed in the incident though there were no reports of any casualty. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. PTI
