FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017: Three-time champions Brazil arrive in Mumbai ahead of tournament

Mumbai: Three-time champions Brazil arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday morning for the FIFA U-17 World Cup which will start in India from 6 October. According to sources, the team is expected to train at the Mumbai Football Arena in suburban Andheri later on Tuesday. Brazil have been placed in Group D along with DPR Korea, Niger and Spain. They kick off their campaign against Spain at Kochi on 7 October. It is also learnt that Turkey, who are also playing the World Cup, have arrived in the megapolis late last night. Sources said they are expected to train at a venue in Navi Mumbai. Turkey is in Group B along with Paraguay, Mali and New Zealand. Turkey will play their first game against New Zealand at the D Y Patil stadium in neighbouring Navi Mumbai on October 6.
