Eid not on 6 July? Central govt offices in Delhi to be closed on Thursday, not Wednesday

New Delhi: All central government offices in the national capital will remain closed on 7 July due to Eid-ul-Fitr festival.

In Delhi, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Thursday.

Accordingly, it has been decided to shift the holiday to 7 July, in place of 6 July, as notified earlier, for all central government administrative offices at Delhi or New Delhi, an order issued by Department of Personnel of Training (DoPT) said Tuesday.

For offices outside Delhi, the employees coordination committee or head of offices (where such committees are not functioning) can decide the date depending upon the decision of the state government concerned, it said.
