 "Kanpur's DPS Kalyanpur student attempts suicide, alleges harassment from teachers and principal in note")
A student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Kalyanpur attempted to commit suicide by consuming sleeping pills and drinking phenyl on Saturday. The victim has reportedly alleged harassment by teachers and the school principal. The student has been admitted to Madhuraj Nursing Home and is in critical condition, according to a report by The Asian Age.

The student has said that the teachers made life difficult for him in school. They instructed other students to not talk to him. The student said, “No one talked to me because the teacher asked them not to. Teachers and students targeted and taunted me,” as tweeted by ANI. The victim had joined the school just two months back, as per ANI. His mother said that he was depressed.

A case has been registered with the Kanpur Police Station. Kanpur deputy superintendent said, “Further action to be taken based on the probe. As per the suicide note, he took step after four teachers tortured him,” according to ANI.
