US President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. is scheduled to arrive in Agra to visit Taj Mahal on Thursday.
This marks the second visit of Donald Trump Jr., he last visited in February 2018 when he travelled to New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata.
Trump Jr. will be visiting along with 126 special guests from 40 countries. The purpose of his visit to India is likely to attend a high-profile destination wedding of an Indian American couple in Rajasthan’s Udaipur.
According to News18, he is expected to arrive at Agra’s Kheria Airport around 1:30 PM on his private aircraft.
Tightened security
Ahead of his planned visit, a team from a US Security Agency has already arrived in Udaipur to review the security arrangements. Nearly 200 police personnel have been deployed, including officers of ACP and ADC rank.
The wedding will take place on November 21 and 22. The venue of the wedding will be Jag Mandir Palace, located amidst Lake Pichola.
Star-studded wedding
Several politicians and Indian celebrities are also expected to arrive at the venue. The state administration has already started enforcing special security arrangements in the city.
Trump Jr. will be staying at The Leela Palace, Udaipur as per news sources.
Udaipur is known for its cultural beauty and its lavish heritage makes it one of India’s most picturesque wedding destinations.
The city has been a priority for many film stars to organise their wedding.
It has previously hosted the weddings or pre-wedding festivities of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Raveena Tandon, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Hardik Pandya, and Isha Ambani, daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
