A terror attack, heightened army activity and now protests, Jammu and Kashmir is in a disarray. As security forces comb through the region to nab the four terrorists, whose photos and sketches have been released, people are holding demonstrations across the Valley against the attack that has killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
Locals have been conducting rallies in Tangmarg, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Doda, etc, have been conducting rallies to condemn the terrorist attacks.

Members of various Hindu organisations also staged protests against the attacks. Ashok Gupta, the chief of Dogra Front, said, “My Hindus have become so weak. They were killed one by one. We are not going to tolerate this anymore… Pakistan is broke, yet they are able to attack us. The time has come to crush Pakistan and join hands with Balochistan.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his trip to Saudi Arabia and returned to Delhi on Wednesday to hold an emergency meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the 26 tourists who lost their lives in Pahalgam on Tuesday were brought to Srinagar today. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived in Srinagar yesterday shortly after the attack, laid wreaths over the victims’ coffins at a PCR in the city.
Shutdown in Valley
Kashmir valley observed a shutdown against a terror attack for the first time in 35 years on Wednesday as organisations from all walks of life supported the bandh call to protest the killings in Pahalgam tourist resort, officials said.
Most of the shops, fuel stations and other business establishments were shut in Srinagar, the officials said.They said only shops dealing in essential commodities were open across the city.
Public transport was also sparse, but private vehicles were plying normally, they added. Private schools were also shut across the valley, but government schools were open, the officials said.
The effect of the shutdown was also witnessed in the other district headquarters of the valley, they said.
