A head constable was brutally beaten up and his pistol snatched away by a group of men in northeast Delhi, as he tried to protect a college student from molesters in the Bhajanpura area of northeast Delhi. The cop, Karan Singh, was repeatedly kicked on the face on Saturday and is in the ICU of a city hospital, reports
Times of India. Singh had reached the spot in Bhajanpura after getting a call from a 20-year-old college student who said she had been molested by the main accused, identified as Praveen. The girl said she was returning home from the market when Praveen allegedly passed a lewd comment and tried to drag her inside a car. On Monday, a group of boys
beat up a police constable and a girl’s brother, while some of them molested her in Ashok Nagar in Delhi.
