According to police, the case was registered at the GTB Enclave police station. The statement of the victim and her brother, who was an eyewitness, has been taken. Delhi police commissioner Neeraj Kumar had said in a press conference that an FIR will be registered if the victim came forward with her complaint.
The move comes a week after Union home secretary RK Singh announced that no policeman would be spared if he was found ignoring his duty and police chief Neeraj Kumar declared that a full fledged probe will be ordered into the incident. Read the complete TOI story here .
