A 36-member foreign delegation will visit all major polling stations to witness the voting procedure for the Delhi assembly elections, an official said Wednesday.

New Delhi: A 36-member foreign delegation will visit all major polling stations to witness the voting procedure for the Delhi assembly elections, an official said Wednesday.

“The delegation comprises members from eight countries including Senegal, Lebanon, Nigeria, Jordan and Zambia,” Special Chief Electoral Officer, Surbhir Singh said.

The team is in the national capital after witnessing elections in Rajasthan.

During their visit, the team would see the polling procedure in constituencies like New Delhi, Shalimar Bagh, Krishna Nagar, Patel Nagar and some other prominent centres, added Singh.

“An eight-member team from the United Nations Development Programme had also visited the capital yesterday (Tuesday) to witness the arrangements made for the elections,” said the official.
