Dabholkar murder: CBI gets nod to conduct lie-detector test

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday got permission to conduct a lie-detector test on two Sanatan Sanstha members-Hemant Shinde and Nilesh Shinde - in connection with the murder case of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar. PTI[/caption] The duo was allegedly found ‘deceptive’ during their statement analysis done by the CBI. Dabholkar was shot dead by unknown assailants in Pune on August 20, 2013. The Sanstha had claimed that CBI was “falsely implicating” its seekers – Hemant Shinde, Nilesh Shinde, Niraj Yengul, Mahendra Sahasrabudhhe, Yashavant Sahasrabudhhe and Krushna Kumbhar. The Bombay High Court had transferred the probe to CBI on 9 May, 2014 on a PIL filed by former journalist Ketan Tirodkar on the plea that there was no headway several months after the killing of the eminent rationalist.
