For the first time, three women have been commissioned as fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force on an experimental basis.

Kanth hails from Darbhanga in Bihar. Chaturvedi is an engineer from Satna, Madhya Pradesh. Her family members have served in the Army. Singh comes from an Air force background; her father is currently in service. PIB[/caption]
