As India races to Viksit Bharat@2047, it will be its 808 million-strong youth at the wheel of progress. As protagonists of progress, this demographic powerhouse will accelerate their way to find solutions to the pressing problems of our day.
To spotlight these transformative ideas, News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2025 launched a one-of-its-kind initiative as part of its regional chapters. We engaged students and faculty from six premier institutions across Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Banaras, and Bengaluru, inviting them to craft ‘Samadhan’ which not just diagnoses problems, but reimagines solutions that are visionary, pragmatic, and future-ready.
What emerged were five ground-breaking proposals to address critical issues ranging from urban congestion and air pollution to education reform, river rejuvenation, and sustainable waste management. These youth-driven innovations represent the pulse of a rising Bharat — that is intelligent, inclusive, and environmentally conscious.
In a landmark moment, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will unveil these ‘Samadhans’ at the News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2025 and engage directly with the visionary youth behind these next-gen policy blueprints.
From IIT Kharagpur, young researchers proposed a sustainable solution for cleaning the Yamuna River, polluted and long-neglected. Tired of chemical fixes, they present Kalki Bio-Culture, a unique 100% organic and nature-based solution. It works with nature, and not against it. Already proven on Pune’s Ramnadi, it is ready to scale.
Another set of charged green warriors from North Bengal University have solution for the poor waste management in fragile North Bengal Hills. Their Climate Action Leadership Programme has revolutionised community-led environmental action locally. Tried and tested, it can be scaled across eco-sensitive regions nationwide.
