Shillong: A head constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was stabbed to death by his junior colleague at the airport near Shillong and the accused was arrested, police said today. Reuters.[/caption] Amal Raj hailing from Tamil Nadu was stabbed at the back of his head and found dead last evening while on duty, Ri-Bhoi superintendent of police CVS Reddy told PTI. He said the police was informed of the matter at around 7:30 pm yesterday and police personnel from Umiam PS rushed to the airport to take up the matter. A case was registered and after initial investigation, constable BK Singh hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested, Reddy said, adding, personal issues may have been the cause of the murder. The body will be sent to the hometown of the deceased after completion of all formalities by this evening, he said. Shillong airport is about 35 km away from the Meghalaya capital and is the only semi-functional airport in the state. PTI
