Chhattisgarh Assembly Polls 2023: Former CM Raman Singh, state BJP chief Arun Sao leading

Chhattisgarh Assembly Polls 2023: Former CM Raman Singh, state BJP chief Arun Sao leading

After the fourth round of vote counting in the state assembly elections, Senior BJP leader and former Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh held a lead of 13,279 votes over Congress’ Girish Dewangan in the Rajnandgaon seat, according to the Election Commission. Chhattisgarh BJP chief Arun Sao was also leading in the Lormi seat with a margin of 9,106 votes after the fifth round of counting, while former Union minister Vishnu Deo Sai led in the Kunkuri seat by 7,813 votes after the eighth round. In the Pathalgaon seat, BJP MP Gomti Sai maintained a lead of 6,078 votes over Congress’ Rampukar Singh after the fifth round of counting. BJP leader and former minister Ramvichar Netam secured a lead of 4,874 votes in the Ramanujganj seat against Congress’ Ajay Tirkey. Former IAS officer OP Choudhary was leading in the Raigarh seat with a margin of 7,435 votes over Congress’ Prakash Nayak. Similarly, former minister Amar Agrawal held a lead of 6,364 votes in the Bilaspur seat against Congress’ Shailesh Pandey. In the Raipur City North seat, former minister Rajest Munat Agrawal led by 4,643 votes against Congress’ Vikas Upadhyay Pandey. Meanwhile, in the Narayanpur seat, former minister Kedar Kashyap was ahead by 3,515 votes against Congress’ Chandan Kashyap, according to the Election Commission. With inputs from PTI
