New Delhi: The central government on Thursday approved additional assistance of Rs 3048.39 crore, Rs 131.16 crore and Rs 539.52 crore to the states of Kerala, Nagaland, and Andhra Pradesh respectively, which were affected natural disasters- floods, landslides and cyclone Titli respectively during the recent months.

The decision was taken during a High Level Committee meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh, Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and senior officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture were present in the meeting.

The High Level Committee approved the additional assistance from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).
