CJI Gogoi became furious at his court masters for misplacing news report that 'quoted' Alok Verma's response
Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had several occasions to lose his temper during the hearing on sidelined CBI director Alok Verma's plea. Amid the confusion over authorised and 'unauthorised' mentions in court yesterday, and the controversial media 'leak' of Verma's response to court, CJI was left fuming by his stenos.
The court masters apparently could not find the copy of The Wire report kept aside to hand over to Verma's counsel. "The inefficiency in court number 1 is the highest," a miffed Gogoi said. However, the report was later found and handed over to Nariman.
CJI Gogoi rebukes his court masters for misplacing news report. He says inefficiency in court 1 is of highest level. Anyway article is found that published yesterday and given to Mr. Nariman.— The Leaflet (@TheLeaflet_in) November 20, 2018
