According to the complaint filed by the parents, the boy returned from school and started crying. When his parents consoled him and asked the reason, he told them that a man in the school’s administration department had been sexually assaulting him, reported The Hindustan Times.  Girish Kumar Kotiya, Station House Officer, Surajpur police station, told The Indian Express that after the boy’s parents registered a complaint, police immediately contacted the school administration. Police said a case was registered under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the POCSO Act. The child’s mother has alleged they had been noticing changes in his behaviour over the last few years. The Times of India reported quoted Surajpur SHO Girish Kotiya as saying, “His mother has alleged the child has been sodomised for the past 4-5 years. They had been noticing changes in his behaviour for a while, during which time his academic grades, which were earlier in the 90s, had also seen a steady decline,” A six-member internal committee has been formed to probe the case, reported Zee News.  This incident comes just a month after the murder of a Ryan International School student in Gurugram. Pradhyuman Thakur, a Class 2 student was found with his throat slit in the washroom of the school on 8 September. School bus conductor Ashok Kumar was arrested in connection with the crime following the incident. The trustees of the Ryan group, CEO Ryan Pinto and his parents, Group’s founding chairman Augustine Pinto and managing director Grace Pinto, were also arrested, but were granted interim bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 28 September. The victim’s father on 9 October moved the Supreme Court challenging the extension of the interim anticipatory bail granted to three trustees. With inputs from agencies
