One person sustained serious injuries when a crude bomb exploded at Patna railway station around 10 am on Sunday, just three hours before the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is scheduled to speak at the party’s biggest ever rally in the city. Unconfirmed reports suggested that the bomb disposal squad was searching the area for unexploded bombs. As many as 11 additional trains are arriving in Patna on Sunday bringing in lakhs of people to attend the Modi rally in Gandhi Maidan. Reports said the bomb was a low intensity explosive device. The injured man was rushed to hospital. A squad of the bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and sealed off the site of the explosion. The platform was, fortunately, not very crowded at the time of the explosion
