Hindustan Times’ editor-in-chief Bobby Ghosh has resigned from his post, reports said. According to
Outlook, Ghosh’s resignation, which has come within 14 months of him joining the organisation, “was announced to the employees by chairperson of the HT Media Ltd Shobhana Bhartia on Monday”. Exchange4media said that Bhartia announced Ghosh’ resignation in a letter to Hindustan Times employees, whrein Bhartia said that Ghosh will be returning to New York. “I am deeply disappointed to share the news that Bobby Ghosh will be returning to New York, for personal reasons,” the letter said. Hindustan Times was recently in the
news for shutting down few of its branch offices and firing a large number of its employees. The company had reportedly stated that the sacking was part of the company investing into a ‘Digital Future’ and the ‘creation of an ultra modern and hi-tech newsroom in Delhi’ Ghosh is credited to have engineered transformation of various news products of the news organisation in his short span of 14 months with HT Digital Streams Ltd.
