“Bless us with the third term, we shall make India the third largest economy in the world,” said Union Minister Amit Shah at the CNN-News18 Rising Bharat Summit in New Delhi Wednesday.

In his usual flair, Shah tore into the Opposition and the INDI Alliance on several issues, enumerating the achievements of the PM Modi government in the past 10 years, making a pitch with the people to return the NDA to power once more in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Shah underlined that, like 2014 and 2019, the 2024 Lok Sabha polls too were a wave election for the BJP. He exuded confidence, claiming the electorate would bless the NDA with over 400 seats, BJP crossing the 370-seat mark.

“During the premiership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India was at the 11th spot in global economy. Manmohan Singh, in his 10 years, maintained that, but PM Modi has taken it to the fifth spot in his 10 years. It is ‘Modi ki guarantee’ that if you bless us with the third term, we will take Indian economy to the third spot,” Shah said.

Shah argued that the achievements of the Modi government in the past 10 years were unprecedented and that PM Modi’s tenure will be etched in golden words in history.
“The last ten years, under the Modi Government, will be registered as the ‘golden chapters’ in India’s history after independence. Today, India is shining bright on the world stage! Today, every citizen proudly says, हां, मैं भारतीय हूं!”

“In the last 10 years, India has become a hub of manufacturing,” Shah said, adding, “In the last 10 years, digital revolution has embraced the entire country. In the last 10 years, India witnessed a great startup revolution. In the last 10 years, a highly accessible and inclusive New Education Policy was formulated. In the last 10 years, India has become safer and more secure than ever.”

“Congress never cared about the Backward Classes. For over thirty years, it didn’t even pay heed to the Kaka Kalelkar Commission Report. It was under Modi ji that OBCs got Constitutional rights in the country. Opposition talks about the number of OBC secretaries in the country, don’t they know the number of ministers in the Cabinet of Modi ji? Modi’s Cabinet has 27 OBC Cabinet Ministers! And remember, the country’s Prime Minister himself belongs to the OBC community.”

Shah also said that the Modi government had solved the three hotspots of India: Kashmir, Leftist terrorism and North East. “Violence in these areas has come down by 75 per cent,” Shah claimed.
