The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results of the Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar TET) 2017 on Thursday. Results of 11,351 candidates were cancelled as they had used whiteners in their exam, which is not allowed. The exam is necessary to qualify to apply for teaching jobs in government schools in the state. Nearly 2.5 lakh aspiring primary and secondary teachers took the exam, which were held on 23 July, according to ExamsWatch. Reportedly, 49,488 candidates appeared for Paper 1, while Paper 2 was taken by more than 1.5 lakh candidates. BSEB chairman Anand Kishore told the press on Thursday that only 7,338 candidates qualified from Paper 1, while 20,113 candidates qualified from Paper 2. Steps to check the results:

  1. Log on the official website: bsebonline.net
  2. Click on the link for BTET 2017 result
  3. Enter your registration number and other relevant details
  4. Click on submit
  5. Download and take a print out
