Ibnlive[/caption] “I personally thank my students, especially the higher secondary students for their support and for standing for the school. I am glad that students have been able to judge what is right and wrong,” Sarkar said. The school remained close for two weeks after some parents vandalised it on September 12 protesting the death of a class V student Oindrila Das, who was allegedly ragged by three senior students. Sarkar was allegedly forced to apologise and resign for the girl’s death following which she was arrested. The school management, however, stood by their principal and did not accept her resignation. Sarkar was released on bail on September 16. PTI
