Singh on Saturday morning left for Assam to take stock of the situation following heavy rain and floods that have left at least 20 persons dead and over 17 lakh affected across the state’s 21 districts.
Earlier in the morning Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said he would be accompanying Singh during his visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
