Chandimandir, Haryana: Army Chief General Bikram Singh today reviewed the operational preparedness of the Western Army, a defence spokesman said. The Army Chief, who arrived at Chandimandir on a two-day visit of the Western Command Headquarters, expressed satisfaction following his inspection, he added.[caption id=“attachment_1112719” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

Singh was learnt to have also attended the 66th anniversary celebrations of the Western Command, the spokesman added. Earlier, Lt Gen Philip Campose, GOC-in-C, Western Command, received the Army chief at the Chandimandir helipad. Meanwhile, Bubbles Singh, president, Central Army Wives’ Welfare Association, spent time with the special children of the Asha School at Chandimandir, the spokesman said. PTI
