“April 22 was avenged in 22 minutes on the night of May 6–7,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared in the Lok Sabha on Monday, as he addressed the House during the debate on Operation Sindoor — India’s military response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
He said right after Pahalgam terrorist attack, Pakistan Forces had this idea that India would indeed take a major action.
“They started making nuclear threats. On the intervening night of 6-7 May, India took action just as decided. Pakistan could not do anything. Our armed forces avenged 22nd April within 22 minutes with precision attacks,” said PM Modi.
The Prime Minister described the April 22 incident, in which terrorists shot civilians after asking about their religion, as an act of extreme cruelty and a deliberate conspiracy to provoke communal unrest.
“This was a well-thought-out attempt to throw India into the fire of violence… a conspiracy to spread riots,” he said.
PM Modi commended the unity of the Indian people in rejecting this provocation.
