Another sexual assault case: Asaram Bapu, son booked for Surat rape

In more trouble for jailed self styled godman Asaram Bapu, an FIR has been registered against him and his son Narayan Sai in a sexual assault case in Surat. The complaints have been lodged by two sisters who allege that the self-styled godman assaulted the elder sister in the Ahmedabad ashram and the younger one in Jahangirpura, reported IBNlive. PTI[/caption] The police have vowed to question Narayan Sai, who was earlier accused by a married woman of trying to sexually assault her. Reacting to the new case, Asaram’s spokesperson Neelam Dubey asked why new cases are surfacing against the father-son duo at a time when the self-styled godman is in jail for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. On 20 August, a 16-year-old girl lodged a police complaint accusing Asaram, 72, of sexually assaulting her at his ashram near Jodhpur. Asaram was arrested from his ashram in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and brought to Jodhpur on September 1. Shilpi, who is accused of making arrangements to send the 16-year-old girl to Manai ‘ashram’ where Asaram allegedly sexually assaulted her in August, surrendered before the court last week.
