Amit Shah to take yoga lessons from Muslim expert on International Yoga Day

Patna: BJP president Amit Shah will take lessons from a Muslim yoga teacher at a special camp in Patna on 21 June - International Yoga Day. “Yoga experts Mohd Tamanna and Ashok Sarkar will teach yoga to Shah at Moinul Haque stadium here,” Ajit Kumar, in-charge of Bihar-Jharkhand Patanjali Yogpeeth, said on Tuesday. Shah’s plans to attend the yoga camp in Patna has become a political issue. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said they had made yoga a matter of “show-off and publicity”. He termed BJP’s move to hold a yoga camp on 21 June a “drama”, following which Telecommunications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad advised Nitish Kumar to practice ‘pranayam’ for peace of mind. IANS
