In the arts stream, the Darrang is the best performing district with a pass percentage of 89.07.

Girls outshine boys

This year, girls have again outperformed boys. The pass percentage of girls in all three streams — arts, science and commerce —  is higher than boys. Among arts students, the pass percentage of girls was 93.85 while for boys it was 89.55 percent.In the commerce stream, girls had a pass percentage of 94.33 in comparison to 91.09% for the boys. In the science stream, girls had a pass percentage of 94.33 compared to 91.09 percent for boys

91.55% students clear vocational stream

In the vocational stream, the pass percentage was 91.55. Only 840 students appeared for the vocational stream, of which 222 secured first division.

88.18% students clear commerce stream

In the Class 12 commerce stream, 88.18% of students cleared the exams. A total of 17,713 students appeared for the exam.

78.28% students clear arts stream

In the Class 12 arts stream, 78.28% of students cleared the exams. As many as 1,68,367 students appeared for the exam.

88.06% students clear science stream

In the Class 12 science stream, 88.06% of students cleared the exams. A total of 39,574 students sat for the exam.

How many marks student need to pass

Students need to score 30 percent of the total marks in subjects without a practical portion in order to pass the exam. For the subjects that have a separate theory and practical, students need to score minimum 30 marks in the theory paper (given the full marks is 100) and a minimum 40 in the practical component.

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) today announced Assam Class 12 Board Result on its official website at ahsec.nic.in. Pubali Deka and Shraddha Borgohain with 96.2% (481/500) have jointly topped the Arts stream.

Here’s how students can check results on Android app

Students can also check their scores through a result app suggested by the AHSEC named Upolobdha. Candidates can download the app from Google Play Store. Once downloaded, enter your mobile number to register. Registered candidates can then tap on the Assam Board HS Result 2020 link and enter their roll number to view the result.

Steps to check AHSEC Class 12 board result on official website

Step 1: Go to the official website  resultsassam.nic.in .

Step 2: Click on the link for the Class 12 result.

Step 3: Click on the link, which reads, “HS Final Year Examination Results 2020”. It will open on a new webpage with a link that reads  HS Final Year Exam Results 2020 . Click on it to access the result webpage.

Step 4: Enter your roll number and other required credentials required for logging in.

Step 5: A page will open with your name, roll number, and subject code, name and marks obtained.

Step 6: Download and take a printout of your result for future reference.

Assam Class 12 Board Result has been released today by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). The overall passing percentage in three streams – Arts, Commerce and Science is:
