The rescuers have found one survivor among the passengers of the Air India flight that crashed in Ahmedabad, according to the police.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik said, “The police found one survivor in seat number 11A.”

“Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was loud noise…there were pieces of plane all around me…Someone grabbed me and put me in an ambulance,” Ramesh was quoted as saying.
Malik told AFP that 204 bodies had been recovered from the site of the crash and 41 persons were undergoing treatment. The bodies included people from both from the flight and the building it struck.
The Air India flight AI171 had 242 passengers and 12 crew members. Air India flight AI171 on Thursday crashed minutes after takeoff at around 2 pm in Ahmedabad’s Meghaninagar area. The plane crashed into doctor’s residential quarters at the BJ Medical College.
