In the wake of resignation of Eknath Khadse from the post of Maharashtra Revenue Minister over allegations of misuse of power, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned his BJP colleagues against overruling the opinion of bureaucrats.

Mumbai: In the wake of resignation of Eknath Khadse from the post of Maharashtra Revenue Minister over allegations of misuse of power, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned his BJP colleagues against overruling the opinion of bureaucrats. PTI[/caption] Fadnavis held a marathon four-hour meeting with the BJP ministers Tuesday evening. “Virtually laying down a kind of model code of conduct for the BJP ministers, the CM asked us not to take decisions on files ignoring the opinions of desk officers and secretaries,” a minister who attended the meeting said on Wednesday. Fadnavis asked his colleagues to learn lessons from Khadse’s resignation in wake of a series of allegations including irregularities in a land deal in Pune. The meeting was also attended by the state BJP president Raosaheb Danve and senior state BJP leaders.
