These college included prestigious ones like St. Stephen’s and SRCC, which replied in the affirmative to the UGC directly. Before today’s directive, the UGC has already sent three letters to the Delhi University asking it to admit students to the three-year degree course. Tuesday also saw lot of drama unfolding with conflicting reports of resignation by Delhi University VC Dinesh Singh. But the speculations were finally laid to rest when the HRD ministry said that it has not received any resignation letter.
