Activist files complaint against Modi for hornbill beak cap

Can wearing a hat land you in trouble? Sometimes it can, as Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi seems to have found out. An animal activist has filed a complaint with the Mumbai police commissioner against Modi for wearing a cap at an award function in Mumbai. The reason? The hat Modi wore had the beak of a hornbill, the Times of India reported . PTI”] [/caption] The complainant, an animal activist Naresh Kadyan, has said that the cap was in violation of the Wildlife Protection Act. Kadyan said he has also written to the prime minister, president, Ministry of Environment and Forests and the chief wildlife warden of Maharashtra. Modi had attended a function in Mumbai on Monday night in which he had also said former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi did not encourage secularism.
