Accidental firing kills Jawan in J&K's Poonch district

Jammu: An army jawan died on Tuesday allegedly after his service rifle went off accidentally in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. The jawan identified as Anil Kumar, who was posted in Mehndar Tehsil of the district, was seriously injured when his service rifle went off accidentally, a police officer said. AFP[/caption] He said that the jawan, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, was rushed to the hospital but he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
