At least 20 Indians are still stuck in Russia, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday, adding that the government was “actively pursuing” cases of Indians seeking discharge from the Russian Army.
Addressing the media, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the Indian government is in touch with Russian authorities in its efforts to bring back the Indians to their homeland.

The MEA spokesperson Jaiswal also said that Indians in Russia have been advised not to venture into the war zone or get caught into difficult situations.
“We have an understanding that 20-odd people are stuck. We are trying our level best for their early discharge. We have issued two statements which you saw. We’ve also told people not to venture into the war zone or get caught into situations which are difficult. It. We are in regular touch with Russian authorities both here in New Delhi and also in Moscow,” Randhir Jaiswal said.
