An Air India flight carrying 242 passengers and crew members crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday afternoon. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, operating as flight AI171 to London, went down around 2 PM in the Meghaninagar area, not far from the airport.
