The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, operating as flight AI171 to London, went down around 2 PM in the Meghaninagar area, not far from the airport.
Videos circulating on social media captured the dramatic aftermath, including one showing thick black smoke emerging from the crash site and another featuring survivors being rushed to hospitals. One of the most widely shared clips showed the doctors’ hostel in Meghaninagar with visible damage and aircraft parts on the premises.
