3 Indians go missing from Iran, embassy 'strongly' urges Tehran to ‘trace and ensure their safety’

The Indian Embassy in Iran has said that three Indians have gone missing in Iran and the matter has been taken strongly with the country’s authorities.

The Indian Embassy in Iran has said that three Indian nationals have gone missing in Iran.

In a post on X, the embassy said that it has “strongly” taken up the matter with the Iranian authorities and requested that missing nationals be urgently traced and returned safely to their families.

“We are also keeping the family- members regularly updated of the efforts being made by the Embassy,” the embassy further said.

While the embassy’s statement did not identify the three missing Indians, NDTV reported that they are named Hushanpreet Singh from Punjab’s Sangrur, Jaspal Singh from Punjab’s SBS Nagar, and Amritpal Singh from Punjab’s Hoshiarpur.

The report further said that three men from Punjab went missing on May 1 shortly after arriving in Iranian capital Tehran.
