13 members of family killed in building collapse in UP

Thirteen members of a weaver’s family were killed on Saturday when an under construction building collapsed in Mugalsarai town of Chandauli district. PTI[/caption] According to the police, the first floor of the under construction building crashed, killing 13 people of a family who all were sleeping on the ground floor. However, three people escaped unhurt when the partially built first floor crashed down, added the police official. All those members of the family killed in the incident were buried alive. Two of the family members were taken to a hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries taking the total number of people killed in the incident to 13, further said the police official. He said that among the victims was the building owner, Mohammad Kamarrudin and other who lost their lives were members of his family. The incident is being investigated as the cause of the building collapse is still unknown, said the police official. PTI
