Jaipur: A 12-year-old boy has committed suicide in a Rajasthan school, leaving behind a suicide note in which he accused three teachers of beating him for not doing his homework. The incident took place in Sirohi district, some 430 km from here, on Tuesday evening, police said. The boy, Jigar, who studied at a private school in Paldee village, hanged himself in the kitchen of his house.  He alleged in his suicide note that he had been continuously harassed by the three teachers. So I could not do my homework. During Diwali holidays I finished my pending work. However, I forgot to do my homework given for Diwali holidays. “I tried very hard to finish all the work after Diwali but could not. Two of our teachers sent me to the principal, Sumer Singh, who beat me with an iron scale. “After I came back to the class, two teachers beat me for over one hour with wooden sticks. They threatened me that if I informed my parents about it, they would hit me more.” In his dying note, the boy urged the court to punish two of the teachers, Bharat Kumar and Tararam, with at least five years in jail. “We came to know about the incident Wednesday. We have detained three teachers named in the suicide note,” Sirohi Superintendent of Police Sameer Kumar Singh told IANS on Thursday. IANS
