The Women’s Premier League auction is underway for the upcoming 2026 season of the tournament. All five teams - Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and UP Warriorz - are in auction room in New Delhi brainstorming to get the best squad for the next edition of the biggest women’s cricket league in the world.
Eight players went under the hammer in the opening ‘marquee’ set of players. While teams splashed money at players like Deepti Sharma, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine and others, one big name that could not find a bidder was Australia skipper Alyssa Healy.
