Vijay Hazare Trophy LIVE Score: Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are both unlikely to feature in the third round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy which takes place Monday, December 29 across venues in the country. Kohli’s Delhi will be facing Saurashtra in Alur at the KSCA Ground (2) while Rohit’s Mumbai takes on Chhattisgarh in Jaipur at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground. However, both the stars have reportedly been released from the squad and thus will not be playing.
Both Delhi and Mumbai games begin 9:00 AM IST but their teams will miss the two big stars who have both shown their class in the first couple of rounds of the tournament. Even though fans could not watch their favourite batters live due to logistical issues, both Kohli and Rohit piled up runs in their outings.
Kohli scored a century in the opener and then followed it up with another half-century. Rohit too slammed a ton to open his campaign but then fell for a Golden Duck in the next game.
Another big name that would not be participating for much long in the tournament is that of the wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi who is set to leave the Bihar squad to join the preparatory camp for the upcoming U-19 Cricket World Cup. However, he is playing today.
However, other big names are expected to feature. Rishabh Pant, fresh from a crucial half-century in his last outing, will continue to lead Delhi. Yashasvi Jaiswal too is expected to return for Mumbai if his fitness permits.
