14-year-old wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi and promising opener Priyansh Arya combined to raise the fastest team fifty in the ongoing Asia Cup Rising Stars as the India A opening duo helped the team reach the half-century mark in just 3.1 overs in the semifinal against Bangladesh A on Friday, November 21 in Doha.

Bangladesh A had set a 195-run target for India A who started the chase with a bang with both the left-hander on fire.
India A vs Bangladesh A: Suryavanshi storm
Suryavanshi, who previously hit a 32-ball century in the tournament, was off to a thunderous start as he launched Bangladesh A new ball pacer Ripon Mondol for two sixes in the first three balls of the chase. The first over went for 19 but Suryavanshi was just starting.
Bangladesh A skipper Akbar Ali brought off-spinner SM Meherob into the attack in the second over but Suryavanshi continued his assault. He hit Meherob for two sixes on his last two balls to continue his aggressive approach.
In the third over, Priyansh Arya, who has looked off-colour in the competition, took charge. He smashed Jishan Alam for back-to-back sixes to take India A to 49 without loss in three overs.
Suryavanshi then hit the very first ball of the fourth over for a boundary to help India A complete 50 runs in just 19 deliveries.
The 14-year-old fell in the fourth ball of the over, handing a simple catch to long-on. He walked back disappointed for 38 in just 15 deliveries but not before he had displaced Pakistan A’s Maaz Sadaqat to become the highest run-scorer of the tournament.
