India’s teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is continuing to make headlines with his explosive batting in the ongoing series against England U19. The 14-year-old Indian batter scored a blistering 52-ball century in the fourth Youth ODI against England on Saturday, breaking the record for the fastest-known hundred in YODI history.
Playing at Worcester, Suryavanshi thrilled the crowd with a special knock of 143 runs from just 78 balls. His innings included 13 fours and 10 sixes as he dominated the English bowling attack from start to finish. This was his fourth big knock of the series after scoring 48 off 19 balls, 45 off 34, and 86 off 31 in the previous matches.
Suryavanshi smashes another record
His 52-ball ton broke the previous Youth ODI record of 53 balls, set by Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam against England in 2013 at Leicester. Netizens are lauding Suryavanshi for his magnificent knock yet again.

The youngster had already caught everyone’s eye earlier this year with a 35-ball century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. He achieved the feat during a match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Gujarat Titans on 28 April. This was the second-fastest century in the tournament’s history after Chris Gayle’s 30-ball ton.
Now, he is doing it on the international stage with the Under-19 team coached by Hrishikesh Kanitkar. All eyes will be on Suryavanshi at least for the next few years as he might also break Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the youngest-ever to play for India. Sachin had made his debut at the age of 16 and judging by the speed that Suryavanshi is going, he might get his first match at 15.
