Sanjeev mentioned that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already done a bone test for Vaibhav back in 2019. He further pointed out that many kids look older than their actual age and said people should speak to Vaibhav to know what he is really like in real life.

“You can see the pictures of Vaibhav when he played Hemant Trophy two years ago. Even two years ago when he was going to Chandigarh, he was very small. His height increased suddenly. What can people do, it is their job to say something. BCCI has already done his bone test in 2019. Now if he plays in future, he will be tested once again, the truth will come out. There are many children who look older than their age. If you talk to him, you will feel like talking to a child,” Sanjeev said.

Vaibhav became a household name in India after he slammed a 35-ball century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. With this, he became the youngest player in the history of the league to score a century. This is also the second-fastest ton in IPL to date after Chris Gayle’s iconic knock in 2013.

Vaibhav finished the tournament with 252 runs in 7 innings at an impressive strike rate of 206.55. He had come into RR’s playing XI as an injury substitute in the middle of the season but eventually consolidated his spot with back-to-back explosive knocks. He is now being touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket.

“It is a matter of pride for every father that he is known by his son’s name. Wherever I go now, I get a lot of respect. People also come to meet me. For us, this is like a dream come true. It is a matter of great pride to score runs in IPL at such a young age. I thank Rahul Dravid Sir, Zubin Bharucha Sir and Rajasthan Royals batting coach Vikram Rathore, who showed faith in my son. Everyone was very happy to see his game. Due to this, Bihar is getting fame all over the world,” he added.
