Preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 have officially begun, with the tickets going live on Thursday, December 11. Earlier, the ICC announced the full schedule and venues for the marquee T20 event, which is slated to be held in India and Sri Lanka early next year.
Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav and South Africa captain Aiden Markram launched the tickets for T20 World Cup 2026 live after the toss at the second T20I between the two teams in New Chandigarh.
This year, the ICC has kept ticket prices at historic lows to make the tournament more accessible to everyone. In Phase I, entry-level tickets in India start at just Rs 100 (around $1.11), while in Sri Lanka, prices begin at LKR 1000 (around $3.26).
The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup will take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026. A total of 20 teams will compete in 55 matches across eight major venues. The tournament will begin with Pakistan vs Netherlands in Colombo, followed by West Indies vs Bangladesh in Kolkata, and India and the USA in Mumbai .
India will play its big game against arch-rivals Pakistan at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo because of the neutral venue agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
