Kohli surpassed his idol Sachin Tendulkar to set the world record for being the fastest to 27000 international runs. Tendulkar got to the feat in 623 innings, while Kohli managed to do so in just 594 innings.
Kohli overall is the fourth batter to score more than 27000 international runs after Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, and Kumar Sangakkara.
